Ijagha Eme Sr.

PRESIDENT
Dr. Ijagha Eme, MAJ (ret) is a seasoned Physician Executive with a Bachelor of Science in Physiological Sciences from UCLA. He initially served as a high school biology teacher before joining the U.S. Army in 2010 as a recipient of the Health Care Professional Scholarship. Dr. Eme earned his MD from Meharry Medical College in 2014 and completed his Internal Medicine residency at Madigan Army Medical Center, where he won the James J. Leonard Award for Excellence in Teaching. He is a Board-Certified Diplomate of the American Board of Internal Medicine. Dr. Eme’s military training includes courses in leadership, combat casualty care, and toxic chemical medical support. He served as Chief of the Internal Medicine Clinic at Blanchfield Army Community Hospital, overseeing the care of over 5,000 military personnel and their families at Fort Campbell, KY. His accolades include the Army Commendation Medal (with two Oak Leaf Clusters), the Army Achievement Medal for Research, and the Joint Service Commendation Medal. In 2021, he earned a master’s in healthcare management from Vanderbilt University. Currently, Dr. Eme is the Senior Medical Director of the Southeast Region for Progressive Care Medical Group, managing multiple rehabilitation centers. He is also a published academic, having presented at primary care conferences and contributed to peer-reviewed journals.
Mabel Bongmba

Mabel Bongmba, MD, FAPA, is a Physician-Consultant for Mendrix Medical Associates. and a board-certified psychiatrist. With extensive leadership experience, she has directed clinical operations and led efforts to enhance psychiatric care across various settings. Dr. Bongmba earned her medical degree from the UCSF School of Medicine and completed her psychiatry residency at the San Mateo County Psychiatry Residency Program, where she served as Chief Resident. A Fellow of the American Psychiatric Association, she has been recognized for her contributions to patient safety and excellence in care. Dr. Bongmba is dedicated to providing high-quality, patient-centered psychiatric services for diverse populations.
